NEARBY

duke-hanging-signHorsley is divided into two villages, West Horsley and East Horsley – where The Duke of Wellington is located. With its own train station, East Horsley is on the line between Guildford and London Waterloo. It’s known for its large Gothic mansion, designed by Sir Charles Barry, who also designed the Houses of Parliament. The Duke of Wellington is not far from the picturesque town of Leatherhead, located at the gateway to the Surrey Hills where the rolling chalk hills of the North Downs meets the Thames lowlands. Also close by is the market town of Guildford, home to a contemporary cathedral, extensive shopping and commercial developments.
